25 Days of Christmas Tags – Sunny Studio

Hello friends! Today is an exciting day – it’s the first day of Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event! I am so happy to be participating this year as part of the Sunny Studio Stamps team. I haven’t made many tags before so I enjoyed stretching my creative muscles on a smaller canvas! Here is my tag for today!

I started by stamping the main image from Sunny Studio Sledding Critters in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. I colored it with Copic markers then cut it out using the matching die. I cut the largest tag of Sunny Studio Scalloped Tag Circle dies out of white cardstock and blended it with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. I trimmed my Sledding Critters with the same Scalloped Tag Circle die and lined the two pieces up.

I used the snowflake dies in Sunny Studio Snowflake Circle Frame die to make several snowflakes out of vellum and Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust sparkle cardstock. I scattered them around the front of the tag. I stamped the sentiment from Sledding Critters on Heffy Doodle Oreo Crunch cardstock in VersaMark ink and embossed with white before adding it to my card. To finish the sentiment, I cut the “snow” die from Sledding Critters out of scrap white cardstock twice and Pixie Dust cardstock once, then layered them together.

I strung my tag along with some extra die cut snowflakes and a jingle bell onto Lawn Fawn Silver Sparkle twine. I found some shimmery blue and grey ribbon in my stash and used it to make a bow at the top of the tag to finish.
