Pretty Pink Posh August Release Blog Hop

Hello friends! It’s release day at Pretty Pink Posh and oh man, is it ever a spooktastic one! This release is full of the cutest Halloween products ever! I am not usually big on Halloween, but these little spooks have stolen my heart! Make sure to read on after my card for information on a special new release giveaway!

For my card, I couldn’t help but use the new Halloween Wreath with a few of the other new goodies. It’s no secret that I love all the Pretty Pink Posh wreaths and this one is no exception!

I started by blending some Distress Oxide inks in Wilted Violet and Chipped Sapphire onto a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Heffy Doodle Wildberry cardstock. I placed the new Trellis stencil on top and added more Wilted Violet and Chipped Sapphire to create the pattern. Once I removed the stencil, I blended a bit of Black Soot Distress Ink around the edges for the stenciling to fade into. I then attached the whole piece to a base of Lawn Fawn Autumn Black Sparkle cardstock.

I stamped the Halloween Wreath onto Neenah Solar White cardstock in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored with Copics. I added a few white gel pen accents, then used the matching die to cut the wreath out. I grabbed some black cardstock and cut the wreath die three more times from it. I stacked the three black die cuts together and added the colored one on top to create a dimensional piece. I added the wreath to my card along with one of the black middle pieces to create the dark center.

I cut the new Boo Shaker die three times from black cardstock and once from the Black Sparkle cardstock and cut the word out of the frame. I glued the layers together, trimming some of the black away where needed to fit the wreath. I added the word to my card, then finished the sentiment by stamping the phrase from the new Monster Hugs stamp set in VersaMark ink and embossed with white. I added a few Amethyst jewels from the Party Jewels Mix pack to my wreath, then finished with a big googly eye in the center. Now it looks like something is peeking through the wreath to say hi!
