Hello everyone! It’s Day 2 of the LDRS Creative Fall Feature blog hop, and I have another cute autumn scene to share with you! First, here’s a bit about the fall release:
We also continued adding to our wonderful Basic dies line: In the Breeze Die Set, Down Main Street Die, and Over the Hills Die. Not to forget Up a Tree Die Set, Garden Gateway Die Set, Garden Wreath Die Set. They fit with all of our products, so don’t miss on them!
I don’t know about all of you, but fall always makes me think of all the beautiful trees changing color. So, I used the new Up a Tree die set to create a pretty tree-filled scene.
I started by using the Rainy Day stencil to create a warm cloudy background. I used Dan-D-Lion, Flesh, and Pink Tutu inks to create a softer fall palette. I then got to die cutting! I cut the tree trunks and grass out of golden cardstock first, then cut the trunks out of chocolate brown. I cut the trunks off of the brown pieces and glued them onto the golden pieces so I could have gold grass and brown tree trunks. I did have to rearrange some of the trees in the back row to fit in the spaces I wanted.
I die cut the tree tops out of three different colors of cardstock, twice on each. Then I pieced the trees together until I liked the arrangement before adhering everything down. I did end up with a bunch of extra tree tops, but I didn’t want to run out. I finished the card with a sentiment from the Puddle Jumper stamp set embossed in gold. I think the gold really accents the fall colors nicely!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
