Sunny Studio 6th Birthday Blog Hop

Hello friends! Today is a super special day as we are hopping along to celebrate Sunny Studio‘s 6th birthday! It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of Sunny Studio’s and am so lucky to continue to be on the design team. Mendi is the sweetest person and she truly deserves all the success! For this birthday hop, we are previewing products from the new release! So make sure to hop along for peeks at the new products and the chance to win some prizes!

The Sunny Studio fall/winter release is always one of my favorites each year, so it was so hard to decide what to show you all first! I ended up making a Christmas card that I hope will inspire you to start thinking of your holiday cards this year!

I started by blending Distress Inks in Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, and Chipped Sapphire onto white cardstock then splattered with white acrylic paint. Once the paint dried, I used the largest of the new Scalloped Oval Mat 1 dies to cut the ink blended piece. I then added my oval to a snowy teal piece of patterned paper from the new All is Bright pack.

I stamped several images from the new Holiday Express set in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored with Copics before cutting them out with the matching dies. This train set is so adorable and I love all the little characters you can use to peek out of the train! Once everything was cut out, I arranged the images onto my card front.

I stamped the sentiment from Holiday Express in VersaMark ink onto black cardstock and embossed with white. I added the sentiment strip to my card with a bit of foam tape for some dimension. I used the new Lacy Snowflakes dies a few times on both Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust cardstock and some shimmery white vellum and layered the snowflakes across the card front. For a cute finishing touch, I gave one of the reindeer a shiny Rudolph nose with a Red Zircon jewel.
