Pretty Pink Posh Birthday Blog Hop

Hello everyone! Today I am hopping with some other lovely designers to celebrate Pretty Pink Posh’s 8th birthday! Yay! Paulina is such a sweetheart and her products are just lovely so she deserves every bit of this success! Of course, what better way to celebrate a birthday than with a new release chock-full of new birthday products?!

By now, you all probably know about my deep love for Pretty Pink Posh wreath sets, so naturally I chose to use the Birthday Wreath set for my first card using this release. But instead of using the main wreath image, I grabbed a bunch of the smaller accent images for this card! I stamped the accent images in VersaMark ink all around the border of a piece of pinkish lavender cardstock. I embossed the images with white so they would make a nice resist for my ink blending. I used Distress Oxides ink Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, and Salty Ocean to create a rainbow around the outside of the card. I then wiped the extra ink off of my embossed images and trimmed the panel down a bit before adding it to a dark grey card base.

I used the new Birthday Wishes Script die to make a dimension sentiment. I cut the die once from glittery white cardstock and twice from plain white cardstock. I glued the layers together then added the sentiment to the center of the card. I used a white gel pen to add some dots and accents around the border. It really is amazing how much this one simple step can make such a big impact on the finished card! Finally, I had to add some extra sparkle so I grabbed Sparkling Clear jewels and scattered a few around the card front.
